This is the revised Pard NV008S and NV008S LRF firmware and brings the following benefits.
- Improved day time performance
- Improved night time performance
- More visible reticules.
- LRF function improvement.
First download the zip file and then uncompress it.
To install, ensure a microSD card is formatted and then transfer the uncompressed bin file to the microSD card ensuring it is named FWPLD08S.bin .
Make sure your battery is fully charged before proceeding. Then whilst the unit is powered OFF insert the micro-sd card into the Pard NV008S unit and turn ON, you will notice the top LED flash blue until the firmware is installed, once install is completed and unit rebooted, remove the card fully and format it to prevent accidental re-install.
Your firmware should now be updated.
If you are updating an LRF model you may find the pointer has defaulted to zero, to re-align this with the LRF splash. Do the following at night while the LRF splash is visible.
- Activate the rangefinder - single press.
- Activate the menu single press.
- Hold the magnification button in until you see the X-Y co-ordinates.
- Realign with laser splash.

The August firmware made my LRF freeze up at less than 20 yards, then it started reading 19, 0, 19, 0. I switched back to the May version and now it’s OK.
I’d a problem with distance measurements on NV008SLRF scope. there are was the freshest firmware installed. after downgrade it to “may” version the problem was mostly solved. the scope is usable now. thanks!
I have a standard NV-008 but having issues. Does this firmware work on the NV-008 or is it only for the 008s?

to update to june on a new device and new SD card, put SD card in pard and format from the menu, once formatted power the pard off remove card and transfer the .bin file. once copied put the SD card back in the pard power on. this will update the firmware.
card has to be formatted by the pard before the .bin will install. (sandisk 128gb)
Hi, I’ve found the easiest way round this is when the download appears at the bottom of your computer screen .right click and “unpack” decompress the whole thing direct to your microSD card. There is a folder MACOX i think its called. included in the download and it contains a file that is required! If already showing in a window highlight both and uncompress direct to microSD from there. Worked for me.
