Thermal Sensor and Optical Configuration

The Lynx 3.0 LQ35L is built around a 640×512 VOx uncooled focal plane array with a 12µm pixel pitch and NETD below 15mK. This specification supports improved thermal sensitivity and target discrimination in low contrast environments.

A 35mm F1.0 objective lens provides a structured balance between detection capability and field coverage. The unit delivers a specified detection range of up to 1800 metres, making it suitable for mid-to-long-range observation.

Base optical magnification starts at 1.9× and extends to 15.2× via digital zoom. A minimum focusing distance of 3.5 metres ensures usability across both close and extended observation scenarios. The field of view is specified at 12.5° × 7.5°, equivalent to 21.9m × 13.2m at 100 metres. 

Integrated Laser Rangefinder System

The LQ35L variant incorporates a built-in laser rangefinder, extending the functional capability beyond standard handheld thermal monoculars. The system operates at a wavelength of 905nm and provides a maximum measuring range of up to 1200 metres.

Measurement accuracy is specified at ±1 metre, with a minimum measuring distance of 5 metres. The rangefinder is classified as Class 1 for laser safety, supporting routine field use without additional safety requirements.

This integration allows direct distance assessment without reliance on external devices, particularly relevant for users operating in open terrain or requiring accurate range confirmation alongside thermal detection.

Image Processing and Display System

The Lynx 3.0 LQ35L integrates Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro processing algorithms, supporting improved image clarity and stability, particularly under digital magnification.

The system uses HSIS (HIKMICRO Shutterless Image System), eliminating periodic shutter calibration interruptions and maintaining a continuous viewing experience.

The display is a 0.49-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1080. This provides a high-resolution viewing platform, supporting detailed image interpretation across varying environmental conditions.

Multiple colour palettes are available, including Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, and monochrome options, allowing adaptation to different observation scenarios.

Recording, Connectivity and System Functions

The device includes onboard video recording, snapshot capture, and audio recording, with 64GB of internal EMMC storage. This supports local recording without external media.

Wireless connectivity is provided via dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), enabling connection to external devices for image streaming and control.

Additional system functions include Picture-in-Picture (PIP), Hot Track target detection, distance measurement, and standby mode. A local album function is also included for reviewing stored media directly on the device.

Power System and Physical Design

The Lynx 3.0 LQ35L is powered by a replaceable and rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery. Operating time is specified at up to 5 hours at 25°C with hotspot enabled, or approximately 4.5 hours at -20°C.

External power is supported via USB Type-C (5V, 2A), allowing both direct operation and charging.

The device measures 173.3 × 66.8 × 49.3 mm and weighs 410.7g including battery. It is rated to IP67 for protection against water and dust ingress, supporting use in varied environmental conditions.
