I purchased this unit after trying several others over the years, I will be using it for short range hunting. I am very impressed withe the quality and features on this scope, every thing I could possibly want is there, including two batteries and charger to get you going. Very easy to scan in thermal then swap to nv for the shot. I’m sure even in thermal I could take the shot. For the price I would say you won’t beat it. I’m not realy tech savey but after a few false starts read the manual and got it doing it’s stuff pronto. Blackwood outdoors gave been outstanding in my dealings with them and delivery was very very quick. Every thing about this scope is top notch including the manual and box it came in.

Excellent service and next day free delivery and help from blackwood team,took me while to get out and get it set up,WELL worth the wait.
I have currently set up two profiles for different weight pellets both have proved accurate using ballistic calculator, I watched videos on setting and transferring calculations it seemed easy
my experience was a bit of faff but got there in
end.I will end with extremely impressed
Ps if you use the dnt app it has a very comprehensive pellets data base inbuilt

Great service from blackwood outdoors, cheaper that the rest, promptly delivered with secure delivery needing password. As for the Thermnight 235R, wow! So easy to zero! Day image fantastic, IR night image awesome with way more range than you need with a UK non FAC air rifle. The thermal really is phenomenal! Makes picking out quarry so easy, range find with laser, Balistic calculator gives holdover and bang! Tested ballistic calculator after easy set up and it’s spot on! What an amazing piece of kit for hunting or as a wildlife scope.

Bought the scope for airgun ratting and inside barn work,sub 12,and it is absolutely perfect,the night/day view is spot on and very clear,easy to zero,and the thermal although not really useful for foxing is superb for ratting and rabbit shooting,I gave it 5 stars if you use the scope for airgun/rimfire

Excellent, all round, balistic calculator needed a bit of juggling to be absolutely perfect, but by adjusting the bc and scope height it’s accuracy is consistent and reliable. I hope the other thermal producers are taking notice and realise that quality and precision at a reasonable price is now obtainable.

I give this 3 star as because even tho it is a class product that i would buy again… somethings just dont match up. You get a 20 moa mount but cannot add this data to ballistic profile so it doesnt account for it- leaving the ballistics in-accurate which is why i bought the thing. Id expect it to come with the correct mount for the ballistic app… the ballistic app is great if the mounts were right or can add that its 20 moa to profile. You dont get both ir torches either. The thermal is good to be fair but will get a hand held as well as having on gun is tiresome to scope in. I really hope this mount and ballistic moa problem gets sorted ASAP! If it does ill change to 5 star as it is a great bit of kit. Rushed it out i think….

The mount does not affect the ballistic application. Measure centre of barrel to centre of optical lens (top one) , enter this as the scope height and the rest of your ballistic data and the ThermNight calculates for both channels.
