HikMicro Neos Thermal Scopes – Compare Models

The HikMicro Neos range covers compact 30mm tube-format thermal scopes built around HIKMICRO’s latest image-processing platform. The models differ mainly by sensor resolution, lens size, detection range and LRF functionality. This makes the range easier to compare by intended distance, image detail and whether onboard rangefinding is required.

Which HikMicro Neos should you choose?

  • Choose by lens size first, as this affects viewing angle and distance suitability.
  • Consider sensor resolution if target detail at range is important.
  • LRF models are better suited where accurate distance measurement is needed.
  • Non-LRF models keep the setup simpler and slightly lighter.
  • 25mm models suit closer and mixed-distance shooting.
  • 35mm models are better aligned with longer-range use.

HikMicro Neos Range Comparison

Comparison Area Neos Range Difference
Sensor Resolution 256×192, 320×240 and 384×288 options across the range
Lens Size 25mm and 35mm lens configurations
Detection Range Varies by lens and sensor combination
LRF Functionality Selected models include laser rangefinding and ballistic calculation
Handling Shared 30mm tube-format platform across the series
Weight LRF models are slightly heavier than non-LRF models

What defines the HikMicro Neos range?

The HikMicro Neos range is built around a consistent 30mm thermal scope platform, with shared features including Image Pro 3.0, HSIS shutterless imaging, Sync Pro processing and a 0.49-inch AMOLED display.

The range is not mainly split by generation. The key differences are sensor resolution, objective lens size and whether the model includes integrated laser rangefinding.

The NE25 is the simpler thermal-only option, while the NH25L and NH35L add laser rangefinder and ballistic calculation functionality. The NH35L also moves to a higher-resolution sensor and longer 35mm lens configuration.

Usage Suggestions

The NE25 model is more suited to closer range rat and rabbit shooting ideally under 50yards , being the entry 256px model from the range, it has the lowest price point and excludes the LRF option from it’s body.

The NH25 model gains additional resolution, jumping to 320px and gains the LRF and ballistic calculator function. The NE25 and NH25 both provide 3.5x magnification and 1200m detection range. The NH25 model is the best value in terms of cost to performance from the Neos range.

The flagship model is the NH35L, this scope jumps upto 384px resolution providing more detail, this is combined with a larger 35mm focal length lens, that provides 1800m detection range and it retains the LRF and ballistic calculator function. The NH35 model covers a wider range of options, from rat, rabbit and closer range fox shooting.
