The scope itself is nothing less than perfect, shipped with everything needed to mount to rifle and get out there. The view through it in daylight is crisp and clear, night time is amazing, I viewed to 150M and the black & white image is very good making it easy to identify any target at this range and I’m sure well beyond. The button configuration is easy to navigate even in the dark. The added battery charger, x2 batteries and focus throw lever are welcome add ons. I’m very happy with my choice of both scope and Blackwood Outdoors for supplying it.

The Zulus has been a revelation. It’s a fabulous bit of kit for night shooting with the added bonus of a ballistic calculator. It has replaced a Pard NV008 LRF and the difference in terms of the view and clarity of image are obvious. It takes a bit of practice to go through the menus and get familiar but that’s part of the fun. It was fairly easy to zero after a bit of shimming and has already proven its worth.
The downloading of footage was a bit of a faff but again, it’s just a bit of practice. I’m seriously thinking of getting another – it’s that good

Service and delivery is excellent from the guys at Blackwood, I’ve had various night vision optics over the years and after watching several videos on the Zulus HD V2 I decided to give it a go on my FX M4 Micro, all I can say is you won’t be disappointed, well built, compact size, great functions and image quality, the LRF ballistic calculator works well, great choice for pest control
