Thermal Imaging Performance

The NocPix Ace H50RM Thermal Scope incorporates a 640 × 512 uncooled thermal detector with a 12 μm pixel pitch operating at 60 Hz. Combined with a thermal sensitivity below 15 mK NETD, the sensor is capable of resolving subtle temperature differences that may otherwise become difficult to distinguish as environmental contrast reduces. This allows terrain features, vegetation and animal outlines to remain more clearly separated from their surroundings during changing weather and temperature conditions.

A 50 mm F0.9 germanium objective lens increases the amount of thermal energy reaching the detector, while the optical system provides 3× native magnification with digital zoom extending to 24×. The field of view measures 8.8° × 7.0°, balancing long-range observation with sufficient situational awareness. The manufacturer specifies a detection range of up to 2,600 metres, allowing heat sources to be identified well beyond typical shooting distances.

Optical System and Viewing Experience

Unlike many thermal riflescopes that utilise a rectangular display, the Ace H50RM incorporates a 2560 × 2560 circular AMOLED display that closely replicates the viewing experience of a conventional daytime riflescope. The circular image fills the eyepiece naturally, reducing the perception of viewing through an electronic display while maintaining a familiar sight picture.

Reality+ image processing works alongside the high-resolution display to improve image presentation by refining fine detail and enhancing scene definition without altering the underlying thermal information. Manual focus adjustment allows the objective lens to be optimised across varying observation distances, while adjustable brightness and display settings enable the image to be configured according to ambient conditions and individual preference. Together, these features provide a consistent viewing experience throughout prolonged periods of observation.

Integrated Rangefinding and Ballistic Functions

The Ace H50RM incorporates a built-in laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances up to 1,200 metres. Positioning the rangefinder within the scope eliminates the need for a separate ranging device while allowing distance measurements to be obtained without changing shooting position.

The integrated ballistic calculation system uses measured range information to provide calculated aiming support after the required profile data has been entered. Combining rangefinding and ballistic calculation within the riflescope reduces the number of separate devices required during use and allows both functions to remain immediately accessible from the optical system. The manufacturer also specifies picture-in-picture viewing, enabling a magnified aiming window to be displayed while retaining the wider field of view around the target area.

Power System, Recording and Construction

The Ace H50RM uses NocPix’s dual battery arrangement, combining an integrated 4,000 mAh internal battery with a removable 18650 rechargeable battery. This configuration allows operation to continue by replacing the external battery while retaining power from the internal cell, reducing interruptions during extended sessions. The manufacturer specifies an operating time of up to seven hours.

Video recording, image capture and audio recording are supported, while integrated Wi-Fi enables connection with the NocPix mobile application for wireless control and media management. The scope carries an IP67 environmental protection rating and operates across temperatures from -20°C to +50°C. Measuring 365 × 90 × 68 mm and weighing approximately 1,090 g, the Ace H50RM maintains the proportions of a traditional riflescope while incorporating thermal imaging, laser rangefinding and onboard recording functions within a single housing.
