High-Sensitivity XQ Thermal Sensor for Difficult Conditions

The Trail 3 LRF XQ50 uses a 384×288 thermal imaging sensor with a 17μm pixel pitch and system NETD rating of <15mK. Pulsar positions the XQ50 specifically for low-contrast conditions such as fog, humidity, rain and dense woodland where smaller temperature differences become more difficult to distinguish.

The 50mm F1.0 germanium objective lens provides a native magnification range of 3.5× to 14× with a 7.5° field of view and a stated detection range of up to 1800m. The optical configuration is intended to balance magnification with field coverage for mixed terrain and shorter-to-mid distance target engagement.

A 50Hz refresh rate supports smoother target tracking and scanning performance during movement or panning across varying terrain.

Integrated Laser Rangefinder and Ballistic Support

The Pulsar Trail 3 LRF XQ50 incorporates a fully integrated laser rangefinder with a maximum measuring distance of 1200m and stated ±1m accuracy. The LRF module is built directly into the housing rather than mounted externally, maintaining a conventional riflescope profile.

The platform also supports ballistic calculation functionality for shooters requiring range-based holdover adjustment and improved shot placement consistency at varying distances.

Full HD AMOLED Display and Recording Functions

Unlike older Trail-series models using lower-resolution displays, the Trail 3 LRF XQ50 uses a 1920×1080 Full HD AMOLED display system. Pulsar’s updated display platform improves perceived image sharpness, reticle clarity and observation detail during prolonged viewing sessions.

The scope includes integrated photo and video recording with onboard audio recording support. Captured footage is stored on the integrated 64GB internal memory system.

Wi-Fi connectivity is included for use with Pulsar’s Stream Vision 2 application platform, supporting wireless device connection and media transfer.

Trail 3 Monoblock Housing Platform

The Pulsar Trail 3 series introduces a revised compact monoblock housing compared to previous Trail generations. The scope uses a magnesium alloy body intended to improve structural rigidity while reducing overall bulk.

Pulsar specifies an IP67 waterproof rating alongside an operating temperature range of -25°C to +50°C for use in adverse weather conditions.

The Trail 3 LRF XQ50 uses the new Pulsar LPS7i rechargeable battery system with up to 10 hours stated runtime depending on environmental conditions and feature usage. External USB Type-C power support is also included.
