High-Resolution XR Thermal Sensor for Extended Range Performance

The Trail 3 LRF XR50 uses a 640×480 thermal imaging sensor with a 12μm pixel pitch and system NETD rating below 18mK. Compared with the lower-resolution XQ platform, the XR50 is configured for improved target detail retention and higher usable magnification at extended distances.

The 50mm F1.0 germanium objective lens provides a native magnification range of 3× to 24× with an 8.8° field of view and a stated detection range of up to 2300m. The optical configuration is intended for longer-range target identification while maintaining sufficient field coverage for scanning wider terrain.

A 50Hz refresh rate supports smoother image rendering and target tracking during movement or panning across uneven ground.

Integrated Laser Rangefinder and Ballistic Support

The Pulsar Trail 3 LRF XR50 incorporates a fully integrated laser rangefinder with a maximum measuring distance of 1200m and stated ±1m accuracy. The LRF module is integrated directly into the housing to maintain the compact Trail 3 monoblock profile.

The platform also supports onboard ballistic calculation functionality for range-based holdover adjustment and more precise shot placement at varying distances.

Full HD AMOLED Display and Recording Functions

The Trail 3 LRF XR50 uses a 1920×1080 Full HD AMOLED display system designed to improve perceived image sharpness, reticle clarity and fine thermal detail during prolonged observation.

The scope includes integrated photo and video recording functionality with onboard audio recording support. Captured footage is stored on the integrated 64GB internal memory system.

Wi-Fi connectivity is included for use with Pulsar’s Stream Vision 2 application platform, supporting wireless device connection, firmware updates and media transfer.

Trail 3 Monoblock Housing Platform

The Trail 3 series uses Pulsar’s compact monoblock housing platform with a magnesium alloy body intended to improve structural rigidity while reducing external bulk.

Pulsar specifies an IP67 waterproof rating alongside an operating temperature range of -25°C to +50°C for use in adverse weather conditions.

The Trail 3 LRF XR50 uses the Pulsar LPS7i rechargeable battery system with up to 11 hours stated runtime depending on environmental conditions and feature usage. External USB Type-C power support is also included.
