Neos NE25 Overview

The HIKMICRO Neos NE25 sits within the Neos thermal riflescope range as the lightweight non-LRF configuration, using a 256×192 VOx sensor paired with a 25mm F1.0 germanium objective lens. With a quoted NETD of less than 18mK and a 50Hz refresh rate, the NE25 is engineered for stable image rendering and improved thermal separation in low-contrast environmental conditions.

Unlike larger or higher-resolution platforms aimed at extended-distance shooting, the Neos NE25 focuses on maintaining manageable weight and a conventional riflescope form factor. The 30mm tube body simplifies mounting compatibility while retaining a familiar handling profile for users transitioning from traditional day optics.

The scope incorporates HIKMICRO’s HSIS shutterless image system alongside Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro processing, intended to minimise image interruption and maintain consistent thermal presentation during scanning and tracking.

Optical Configuration

The Neos NE25 thermal scope uses a 25mm F1.0 lens with a native optical magnification of 3.5× and a digital magnification range extending to 24.5×. Field of view is specified at 12.2m × 9.3m at 100m, balancing usable scanning width with a tighter optical presentation suited to more deliberate target engagement.

A 1920×1080 AMOLED display provides image output through selectable viewing formats, including square and sub-round display modes. The display system is combined with a 50Hz frame rate for smoother target tracking and reduced motion lag during observation.

Detection range is quoted at up to 1200m.

Recording and System Functions

The Neos NE25 includes onboard video recording, image capture, audio recording and recoil-activated recording functionality. Internal storage capacity is specified at 64GB EMMC.

Five zeroing profiles are supported, allowing the optic to be configured across multiple rifles or ammunition setups without re-zeroing each time the scope is transferred.

The unit also supports Sync Pro integration and features a quoted one-second quick-start capability.

Power and Physical Design

The HikMicro Neos NE25 is designed as the lightest model within the Neos thermal series, with a quoted weight of 540g. Runtime is specified at up to 9.5 hours using the combined internal and external battery arrangement.

Environmental protection is rated to IP67 standard, with an operating temperature range from -30°C to 55°C.

The simplified configuration omits integrated laser rangefinding and ballistic calculation functionality, distinguishing it from the NH25L and NH35L variants while reducing overall system complexity and weight.
