Expert Advice & Support
Thermal Imaging Performance
The HikMicro Habrok HQ50L is a multispectral binocular that integrates thermal imaging, digital day and night vision and laser rangefinding into a single viewing system. At its core is a 640 × 512 VOx uncooled thermal detector with a 12 μm pixel pitch and NETD below 15 mK, allowing the sensor to distinguish extremely small temperature differences. This level of thermal sensitivity helps preserve detail when operating in rain, mist, fog or changing background temperatures where lower sensitivity sensors can lose contrast. Combined with a 50 mm F1.0 germanium objective lens, the thermal module offers a manufacturer-rated detection range of up to 2600 metres while maintaining a broad 8.8° × 5.3° field of view. Manual focusing via the objective focus ring allows image sharpness to be optimised for varying observation distances.
4K Optical Viewing and Multispectral Observation
Alongside the thermal module, the Habrok HQ50L incorporates a 3840 × 2160 4K CMOS optical sensor paired with a 60 mm F2.2 objective lens. This optical channel provides detailed daylight imaging together with colour and infrared-assisted night observation using the integrated, replaceable 850 nm IR illuminator. The optical system supports 5.5× base magnification with digital zoom extending to 22×, while the thermal channel offers 4.3× base magnification up to 20×. A 1920 × 1080 OLED display presents both image sources with high contrast and supports multiple thermal palettes including Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot and Fusion, together with Day, Night and Auto optical viewing modes. Features including Zoom Pro, Image Pro 2.0, manual or automatic flat-field correction and adjustable brightness, contrast and colour tone allow the displayed image to be optimised for different observation conditions.
Precision Measurement and Field Operation
The Habrok HQ50L incorporates a Class 1, 905 nm laser rangefinder capable of measuring distances from 10 metres to 1000 metres with a stated accuracy of ±1 metre. Distance information can therefore be obtained without carrying separate equipment, making it suitable for long-range observation and target identification. The binocular also includes integrated GPS, a digital magnetic compass, hotspot detection, Hot Track functionality, picture-in-picture viewing and onboard recording with 64 GB of internal eMMC storage. Video recording, still image capture and audio recording are all supported directly within the device, allowing observations to be documented without requiring external accessories.
Rugged Construction, Battery System and Accessories
Designed for extended outdoor use, the HikMicro Habrok HQ50L weighs 975 g including the battery pack and measures 142.9 × 79.7 × 230.5 mm. The binocular housing carries an IP67 environmental rating for protection against dust ingress and temporary immersion in water, while an operating temperature range of −30°C to +55°C allows use across demanding weather conditions. Power is supplied by a replaceable rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, providing a manufacturer-rated operating time of 10.5 hours under standard test conditions. External power can also be supplied through the USB Type-C interface, which supports direct charging and external power operation. The binocular incorporates an adjustable 60–74 mm interpupillary distance, −5 D to +3 D dioptre adjustment, an 8 mm exit pupil and 15 mm eye relief for comfortable viewing. Supplied accessories include two rechargeable battery packs, a battery charger, Type-C cable, binocular harness, neck strap, tripod adapter, lens cleaning cloth and quick start guide.

Excellent service from Blackwoods, the free Nanuk case is unbelievable, its superb and holds my Thunder 3.0 clip on in it as well. One of those moments you get something you didn’t know you needed.
The Habroks are superb quality, wish the FOV was a little bit better, however a world apart from a thermal monocular.
