Expert Advice & Support
Long-Range Thermal Configuration
The Pixfra Cetus C650 is built around a 640×512 vanadium oxide thermal sensor with a 12μm pixel pitch and a stated NETD rating of ≤15mK. This combination places the C650 at the top of the Cetus thermal scope range, pairing Pixfra’s highest-resolution thermal sensor platform with the series’ largest objective lens.
The thermal detector operates across the 8–14μm spectral range and is designed to identify subtle temperature differences in challenging environmental conditions. Combined with the larger optical system, the C650 is configured for users prioritising longer-range target detection and observation performance over the wider field of view offered by shorter focal length models.
50mm F1.0 Objective Lens and 2600m Detection Range
A key differentiator of the C650 is its 50mm F1.0 objective lens. The larger focal length increases image scale and contributes to the model’s stated detection distance of up to 2600 metres, the longest specified detection range within the Cetus series.
The scope provides a native optical magnification of 3.6× and a field of view of 8.8° × 7.0°, equivalent to approximately 15.4m × 12.3m at 100 metres. This configuration offers greater image magnification than the wide-angle C635 while retaining a practical field of view for observation and target acquisition. Manual focus adjustment is included, with a minimum focus distance of 5 metres.
Digital magnification from 1× to 8× is available when additional target enlargement is required.
High-Resolution OLED Display and PIPS 3.0
The C650 incorporates a 0.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1600×1200. The high-resolution display complements the 640×512 thermal sensor, providing a detailed viewing image while supporting the full suite of thermal viewing modes and image enhancement functions.
Pixfra’s PIPS 3.0 image processing platform is integrated alongside picture-in-picture viewing, hot spot tracking, defective pixel correction and multiple reticle configurations with selectable colour options. Five independent zeroing profiles are available for users operating multiple rifles or ammunition setups.
Recording, Connectivity and Field Operation
The scope includes integrated video recording, image capture, Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, microphone support and 64GB of internal storage. Media can be stored directly within the scope without requiring external memory cards.
Power is supplied by a replaceable 18650 lithium battery with a stated operating time of at least 4.5 hours at 25°C with Wi-Fi disabled. The C650 also incorporates USB Type-C connectivity, IP67 environmental protection and recoil resistance rated to 1000g/0.4ms. Despite its larger 50mm optical system, total weight remains approximately 590g.
